My name is Brian Wieland, and I am a partner and Master Dog Trainer of Vacay 9. The first memories of dog training happened at age 9, when my grandpa (Bernie Greene) returned home from school with our beloved Collie named Butch. Butch was talented, intelligent, loyal, and a huge part of our family. Butch educated me on the mental capacity of dogs, allowing me to communicate with him in a human like manner. Little did I know, the bond with this special collie, would create a lifelong passion to train dogs.

The lifelong journey of working with dogs has allowed me to work alongside some of the best Professional Obedience and Personal Protection dog trainers in the country. With over 10,000 hours dedicated to canine psychology and development, the road to becoming a dog trainer has been a cooperative experience. I am very grateful for those (including Butch) who have believed in me as a dog trainer. I am equally grateful for the clients who believe in Vacay 9.

• Worked with breeds ranging from Noble Maltese to  Mammoth African Boerboel
• Trained wolf hybrids
• Trained a special white dog to serve as ring bearer in fairytale wedding
• Trained with US Air Force MP, Sgt. Ricky Hooker, Lackland AB, Texas
• Worked with Police K-9 units imprinting narcotics, tracking, and explosives
• Extensive training with the high powered Belgian Malinois
• Decoy training  in bite work exercises
• Trained service dogs, search and rescue, special needs
• Trained the Basenji “South African Barkless Dog” to speak – Maybe the most challenging!
• Owned and trained the Italian Cane Corso and Neopolitan Mastiff
